Coreen,
I just wanted to let you know that my little "swimmer" has fully recovered.
I just know if I had taken her into the vet, he would've suggested to put
her down. Her rib cage was so flattened, I thought she'd never develop
normally. The sock method worked wonders, and within just a few days,
she began to try and walk. (She was just shy of 4 weeks when I found
her flattened like a pancake.) She now runs, romps, jumps, bites,
plays, and is perfectly healthy. For a while, I could still tell
she had a little bit of a flattened rib cage, but today when I picked her
up, I couldn't tell at all. This sock method saved her life and will
allow a family have a wonderful little girl as a companion. Thank
you for your website! I"ve attached a picture of her after she'd
been wearing the sock for a couple of days. Her left leg front adjusted
quickly, but her right let still stuck out a bit. But, you can see,
how after just 2 days, she's already trying to bring her feet forward.
(They both were to the side). I'll send you an after picture in a
few days, and you will see how well she recovered!
Blessings,
Christy from OK (Golden Retriever Swimmer...now 6 weeks old!)
